The project involved the sympathetic refurbishment of an existing 1935 Listed Protected Structure ‘Georgian Style Mansion’ and integration with a new modern health care development for the provision of long-term residential care. The Nursing Home consists of 60 self contained bed units with ensuite facilities
The first phase of the works consisted of refurbishment and alteration on listed White House Building to provide dining area, assisted bathrooms, passenger lift and general DDA compliance. Subsequent phases consisting of new build single and two storey & extension works. New build and extension works included phase Two – 2 storey service block providing laundry, kitchen and boiler room facilities with environmentally sustainable wood pellet boiler& pressurised heating system. Phases 3 & 4 single storey bedroom blocks complete with ensuite bedroom facilities Nurse stations, rest rooms minor treatment rooms, administration offices and storage facilities in undercroft with retaining wall construction.
