Tracey Brothers won the Education Project of the Year Award for the SWC Erne Campus, Enniskillen and our Contracts Manager Donal McGloin was awarded with the Construction Person of the Year – Outstanding Contribution Award!

Great to see everyone in the room again at the first in person Construction Excellence Awards Ceremony since 2019.

Building a Sustainable Future – Climate Change Lecture Sponsored by Tracey Brothers

Tracey Brothers were delighted to have been part of the inaugural Climate Change Lecture which took place on Wednesday 28th September 2022, as part of the Building a Sustainable Future conference held at South West College Erne Campus.

Professor John Barry from the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics at Queen’s University Belfast gave the key note address at the inaugural Climate Resilience Lecture. Professor Barry’s speech was challenging, thought-provoking and incredibly energising and received widespread acclaim from those in attendance on the evening.

The Climate Lecture was sponsored by Tracey Brothers Ltd with John Tracey, Managing Director at the event to welcome local and international delegates.

CIOB & CEF Upcoming Awards

CIOB Team Award

Tracey Brothers are delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist in the prestigious  Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Awards 2022.

Our South West College Erne Campus is the first educational building worldwide to achieve the highest international standard in environmental constructions – PassivHaus Premium and BREEAM Outstanding – and has now made it to the final three in the CIOB Team Award Category.

The CIOB Team Award celebrates the collaboration and combined efforts of groups of people working together to meet a combined goal.

The overall winner will be unveiled at the CIOB Awards night at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on the 28th of September 2022.

We are delighted to have been chosen as Finalist in two categories in the Construction Employers Federation (CEF) Construction Excellence Awards

The Erne Campus completed for the South West College has been chosen as a Finalist in the Education Project of the Year Category

Work on Major Development Begins at IT Sligo

Tracey Brothers have begun works on the re-development of Block E01 at IT Sligo. The project will include a complete rebuild of J Block, turning the single floor 1970’s building into a modern four-storey complex.

John Tracey signs the contract for extension of E01 with President Dr Brendan McCormack.

New South West College Erne Officially Opened

On the 22nd of September the new South West College Erne Campus was officially opened by Ecomony Minister Gordon Lyons.

Having obtained both PassivHaus Premium and BREEAM Outstanding accreditations, the new campus is one of the world’s most sustainable educational buildings.

Tracey Brothers were delighted to have been involved in this prestigious project and look forward to seeing the new building being used for many years to come.

Restoration of The Grand Opera House Belfast completed

The restoration and development of the Grand Opera House in Belfast has been completed. The works included painstaking restoration and conservation of the many ornate features of the auditorium along with redesign of the foyer and public spaces.

On Thursday 10th of June 2021 the results of the restoration project were unveiled prior to its planned re-opening in July 2021.

We hope that the Grand Opera House continues, not only as a source of great entertainment for young and old alike, but also as a landmark Belfast venue to visit for many years to come.”
