St. Patrick’s Academy Dungannon – Official School Opening

Following its completion in November 2018 the new St. Patrick’s Academy was officially opened by President Michael D Higgins on the 7th of March 2019. The occasion marked the culmination of decades of planning for the school and Tracey Brothers are delighted to have delivered the new state-of-the-art facilities.

South West College Erne Project Passive House Workshop

On the 1st of March 2019 we held a very successful Passive House workshop / training session at our SWC Erne Campus site.

The workshop focused on airtightness, which is probably the most critical matter in achieving a Passive House Project.

The new SWC Erne Campus, will see the delivery of the FIRST educational building WORLDWIDE to achieve the highest international standard in environmental construction – PASSIVHAUS PREMIUM.

St. Patrick’s Academy Dungannon – Sports Pitches & Changing Pavilion works underway

The new school building at St. Patrick’s Academy is now complete with the next phase of works well underway.

Works on the new Pavilion are progressing with 20% of the ring beam complete. The main drainage for the Tennis Courts & Training Fields is complete with works progressing on the main Football Pitch. Works on the retaining wall are 65% complete and should be completed in the coming days.

Construction Excellence Awards 2018 – Winner

Having been short listed as a Finalist, we are now the proud recipient of the General Construction Award – Restoration Category, for HMS Caroline, Historic Buildings and Landscaping.

We were delighted to receive the award at the Awards Gala Evening hosted by the Construction Employers Federation (CEF) in partnership with Specify magazine, held in the Culloden Hotel on the 18th of October.

Official ‘Cutting of the Sod’ at Holy Family School, Cootehill

The first sod has been cut on the site of the new Holy Family School, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.

The Development will consist of a new 1-2 storey replacement Special need’s School building with 26 classrooms and associated ancillary accommodation with 94no. car parking spaces, bus drop-off, 1 no. sports pitch, play areas, sensory garden and site boundary treatment with landscaping to include connection to external perimeter pavement. The total floor area of the new school will be 5310m².

Tracey Brothers look forward to working closely with the School and Design Team on this project.

Elasto-Metall Ireland Ltd Factory & Office Extensions Completed

Works were recently completed on the Elasto-Metall Ireland Ltd site in Manorhamilton for the construction of two new extensions to their existing office and factory areas. A new 900m² portal frame factory extension was completed along with a new two storey 350m² office block extension.

This was the third phase of works completed by Tracey Brothers Ltd on this site.

Construction Excellence Awards 2018 – Finalist

Tracey Brothers Ltd have been short listed as Finalists in this year’s awards in the:

  • Infrastructure – Training Award Category, and
  • General Construction Award Restoration Category for HMS Caroline, Historic Buildings and landscaping.

Following further deliberation, the judging panel will choose a winner from each shortlist and their decision will be revealed at the Gala Evening at the Culloden Estate & Spa Hotel on the night of 18th October 2018.

The Awards provide an opportunity to recognise the achievements of the local construction industry and to publicise the substantial contribution that our industry makes to Northern Ireland.

HMS Caroline Historic Buildings & Hard Landscaping Works Complete

The restoration of the historic Pump House building and scheduled monuments at Alexandra Dock is now complete. The finished building is now home to the HMS Caroline Visitor Reception & Tickets area along with dedicated Exhibition space featuring much of the original Edwardian-era machinery and associated technology.

Visitors to HMS Caroline can now gain access to the vessel via the new 25-metre steel and timber footbridge spanning the dock.

First sod cut at South West College Erne Campus site

The first sod has been cut on the site of the new South West College Erne Campus.

The new campus will be constructed on the site of the former Erne Hospital in Enniskillen. When completed, the building will further enhance South West College’s existing global reputation in the sustainable construction sector and will be used to attract international companies and students in this field.

Tracey Brothers look forward to working closely with South West College on this Landmark Education Development.

Tracey Brothers Awarded South West College Erne Campus Project

Tracey Brothers are delighted to have been awarded the contract for the Design and Construction of the new South West College Erne Campus which will be situated on the site of the former Erne Hospital in Enniskillen. This contract award is testament to our expertise in delivering high quality and innovative Design & Build projects.

The development will see life brought back to this strategically important site within Enniskillen and provide much needed stimulus to the local construction industry.

Design development is currently underway with construction due to commence in Spring 2018. This will be an innovative and pioneering project resulting in the first educational building to achieve PassivHaus Premium, the highest international standard in Environmental Construction.
